Welcome to my site
Who am I? My full names are Beatrix Liande. Everybody knows me as Liande, but I am also called Beatrix, in official situations, as it is my first name. Beatrix means “bringer of joy, or messenger of blessing”. Liande is a bit more difficult, but the best meaning I have found is in the Zulu word “liyanda”, which means “she who grows or increases”. I am a mother and a granny who experienced the up and downs of life and the pain and joy that went with it. I believe that life will always work itself out because of the grace of God in our lives. It is something that I saw and experienced in my life. With Jesus as my Rock and Saviour, I overcame many challenges. I want to invite you into my world, where I will share in my blog posts the lessons learned and wisdom gained. My prayer list with different prayers can help you in times of struggle, and I also share some of my creations. May this bring you joy and bless you as you grow with me on this journey of life.

I am a creative person who thinks in pictures. I love all the colours of the rainbow and the most beautiful thing is when God combines all those colours in nature. I try to capture that in my art and photography. Reading is one of my favourite hobbies, which has led me to writing. Story-telling is such an intricate part of life and another thing I love to do.
