Mining for gold

URGENT CALL!

Last night God showed me a picture of mine workers underground. They were mining for gold. Many of the workers were milling around, not mining anything. This is what God showed me.

The picture of the miners was about the ten virgins. (Mat. 25:1-13) The ones mining are the children of God that are digging into the Word of God, searching for the golden treasures hidden in God’s Word. They dig into their relationship with God, spending time in His presence with heartfelt prayer and worship. They are like the wise virgins. Filling themselves to overflow with God and the things of God. The ones walking around, not mining, are like the foolish virgins. They use the Word of God like flash cards. A verse a day, or a verse a week. They do not meditate on God’s Word, but look for a quick verse to make them feel better. There is no genuine effort to get into the presence of God. They will go from gatherings to meetings to seminars to conferences to get from other Christians. They seldom pray, but always need prayer. Their walk with God is superficial and self-serving.

God will spew them out because they are lukewarm. They do not value the treasure, the pure gold of Jesus. They treat the sacrifice of His beloved Son with casual negligence (failure to take proper care of something, slackness, sloppiness). These Christians are the ones that get left behind. They will not enter the bridal feast with Jesus.

God is calling them to dig into the things of His Kingdom. There is an urgent call for them to seek God with all their hearts. It is important that we truly value the precious gift of Jesus.

Mat 25:13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”
