The Colour of my skin

A few years back, I asked God about skin colour. It is such a controversial thing, and I wanted to get a straightforward answer from God Himself concerning this.

I am ashamed that it took me so long before I asked God about it. It is so obvious. Ask the One who created us all and you will get an answer that makes so much sense and is easy to understand.

I was furious about the whole classification matter according to skin colour. I just felt it must be such an insult to God that we, as humans, decide who is better or not. God created us all as equal. He creates nothing inferior to the other. He created all and everything as GOOD. Who are we, His creation, to decide who is better and who is not? So, I asked God to explain it all to me.

If we remove everybody’s skin, we would all look the same. Bone, muscles, tissues, blood vessels, organs and everything else will all look the same. We are all human beings with bodies, brains, and abilities. God has given every one of us a body, a brain, talents, and abilities to do and achieve. By saying I can achieve or not achieve because of the colour of my skin is such an abomination to God. It is the biggest lie from the pit of hell. It is not the truth. We all can do, create and achieve, because we are all made in the image of God. I want to stress this point. It is wrong to say I can achieve and excel because of my skin colour, just as much as it is unacceptable to say I cannot achieve because of the colour of my skin. Both are wrong thinking and need to change. Sooner than later.

After God made this very clear to me, He explained the colour of our skins. There is no such thing as black or white skin. We would all be dead if we were actually black or white.

We are all brown.

As we must have realized by now. We are just different shades of brown.

I asked God, why brown? Why not any of the other colours, like green? Why did He pick brown as our skin colour?

God took me to Genesis when He created Adam. He took mud from the earth and formed Adam out of the soil of the earth. And the soil of the earth is brown. We all are from the earth and to the earth we return when we die. The soil of the earth comes in unique types and shades, so do our skin colours. Different shades of brown, the same as the different shades of soil. The minerals in the soil give us the unique tones in our skins. That is why some of us have a red undertone, or a blue undertone, or a yellow undertone. My knowledge of minerals is too limited to go into too much detail, but I am sure you understand what I am trying to say here.

This brought so much clarity and understanding. I also understand now why God gets angry when we break each other down because of the colour of our skin. We insult and criticize His creation, as if we know better and can do a better job. This is such an abomination to God. May we all repent of pride and self-righteousness, but also of discrimination and hatred.

It is all foolishness.
