The hearts of the kings

I am busy with a study on the kings of Israel in 1&2 Samuel, Kings and Chronicles. I have learned a lot about governance, leadership and God's way of doing things. But most of all, I learned a lot about God - as Covenant God, as our Creator and as Father. As I thought about all of this, I heard this from God.

"People think Me a fool. They think that I do not hear, nor see or understand the wickedness of leaders and kings. They murmur and rebel. They complain and speak evil of leaders. Leaders that I have placed there. I will remove them when I have accomplished what I have set out to do. I will use them for My purposes and plans. I will use them to purge My people from their sins and wickedness. If the people follow after My precepts and commandments and do not bow before other gods, My Righteous Right Hand will save them. I am not a fool that will accept that which is not pleasing to Me. My heart is for My people to return to Me. I will use whatever is necessary to make that happen. Those who rebel against My plans will fall by the wayside. They know and understand only in part and are blinded by their own folly. How can the creature know more than the Creator? But those that turn back to Me will find refuge in My loving arms. Do you not understand? My heart is for you to seek Me above all, to search for Me and to turn to Me. I am a jealous God who desires to fellowship with you all the days of your life. Seek Me and turn to Me and I will receive you with open arms. Many are the afflictions of those who turn after other gods, who turn away from My Word. Come back to Me, My child, and see how I turn the hearts of the kings. See how I redeem your life from destruction. I am God Almighty, God and Creator of all flesh. Nothing is impossible with me and I will fulfil my purposes and plans as I have set it out from the beginning of time. Seek My ways and follow My precepts, for I alone can change the hearts of kings, I alone replace kings. Do not be deceived, I am not a fool that I do not know what is happening now. I AM GOD."
