“The ax at the root,” versus “The planting of the Lord”

“And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Luke 3:9

versus

” That they may be called trees of righteousness,

The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Is 61:3.

God is busy preparing the Bride to be spotless, worthy of The Bridegroom. A Bride that is listening for the voice of the Bridegroom. The different churches all over the world are going through a shaking and sifting process. God is removing, pulling out, breaking down and cutting off all that is not of Him. It is His body and He will wash it clean with His Word, purify it with the fire of His Holy Spirit as to present a glorious Bride to His Beloved Son. When the Bride sees her Bridegroom again, He will appear as God and not man. We will see Jesus in His full royal splendour and majesty - the Victorious and Exalted One. And God the Father is going to ensure that she is worthy of her Bridegroom, bringing Him honour in her splendour.

At the same time that God is laying the ax to the root of the trees, not bearing good fruit, He is busy with the planting of the righteous trees. The trees (children of God, churches) that will bring glory to His name. They are the ones that will fulfill the prophecy of Is 61: 1-4, just as Jesus fulfilled it. They are the ones that obey the voice of God and follow Him as Jesus followed the voice of the Father. The uncompromising and those sold out to God. His remnant that understand the signs of the time. It is the season of separating and uprooting, planting and revealing.

Is. 61:1-4

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,

Because the Lord has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives,

And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,

And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion,

To give them beauty for ashes,

The oil of joy for mourning,

The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

That they may be called trees of righteousness,

The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins,

They shall raise up the former desolations,

And they shall repair the ruined cities,

The desolations of many generations.”

The “plantings of the Lord” will flourish and bear righteous fruit.

Ps. 92: 12-15

The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,

He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord

Shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;

They shall be fresh and flourishing,

15 To declare that the Lord is upright;

He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him
